Research into phase changes in materials exposed to temperature and calorimetry (TGA, DSC)

With research activities, it is possible to:

The analyser enables simultaneous analysis: TGA–DTA (change in the mass of the sample and temperature change under the influence of the imposed temperature programme or over time) and TGA–DSC (change in the mass of the sample and heat flow rate under the influence of the imposed temperature programme or over time). The instrument enables thermal phenomena to be recorded (phase transitions, decomposition, oxidation, chemical reaction with the environment) in samples when exposed to temperatures ranging from ambient temperature to 1500°C. SDT Q600 analyses is equipped with a horizontal double microbalance for the sample and standard which enable accurate measurement of changes in the sample mass, temperature difference and heat flow rate. The noise level for DSC is less than 4 mW and the calorimetric accuracy is ± 2%. The instrument has integrated flow rate controllers for purge and reaction gases.
